In 2013 Kevin Hilbrenner, a member at the Carrollton Country Club, had a vision to create a competitive golf league among the golf courses in rural Missouri. The four original members were Carrollton Country Club, Marshall’s Stone Hedge, Shirkey Golf Club in Richmond, and The Excelsior Springs Golf Club.
The Country Cup continues to create competition and comradery between rural golf courses in Missouri. From Kevin’s vision the Missouri Country Cup Golf League came about. Regrettably, Kevin passed away and could not see his dream of the Country Cup as it is today.
